I looked at the questions. It's not long and looks like it's probably an 
attempt to trace kin, colleague and friendship networks on the 'net. IIRC, 
Dan Ryan has often been interested in this sort of thing.

At the risk of appearing rudely to be taking advantage of tragedy....

I've got an ongoing project on "notification" to which events of last
few days are all too relevant.  One aspect of this project is to
interview people about events which occasion a need to notify others.
If you are willing to spend a few moments filling out a brief online
survey, I'd be most appreciative.

The survey asks for a few demographic items and then asks about how you
found out about Tuesday's events and whom you notified about them.  It
is not a network study so no detailed information about you or the
people who called you or whom you called is requested.  No identifying
information is collected.
