That leads into epistemology, the biggest hall of mirrors going. All I can
say is that what I've experienced and read over a half century convinces me
that the US is basically exploitative regarding the rest of the world. But
I'm reminded of one of my favorite movies, Fassbinder's "Despair", which is
much concerned with the way individuals' perceptions of reality differ
radically.
