Is 'the left' blaming the victim?

1. No.

2. There is no "left" anyhow, so how can that which does not exist blame or not blame any victim.

3. The victims were those who died and their friends, relatives, co-workers, etc. No one has blamed or will blame them.

4. The people of the United States (excluding those enumerated in No. 3) were not a victim, any more than they were a victim of the coup that overthrew Arbenz.

5. The people of the United States were/are the victims of that Coup, and of all the events documented ub Blum's _Killing Hope_.

6. While there is no "Left" in the U.S., there are many leftists who have been in various ways trying to build a left. The agenda of the left is keeping humanity alive. Every leftist in the U.S. has an obligation to use whatever comes along, bad, good, or indifferent, to carry forward that agenda.

7. People are freaking out, and ought to slow down, stay off the web, and stop posting URLs for a while. Take a few deep breaths.

I agree with Ken Hanly.
