you know nothing of the sort, do you? you do not know who did this or why they did this. how do you account for Atta drinking? and the one who lived with his girlfriend? the very strange note to the kamikaze hijackers was either badly interpreted by CIA wonks or not much of an example of fundamentalism. a strange bunch of fundamentalists eh?
the fact remains, if it is bin Laden, they want _in part_, the US out of the ME and they want our policies toward Israel and SA to change. we are responding to their act of terrorism to achieve those ends--we hope. we are hoping to mobilize the rest of the US to help attain those ends: a changed US policy in the ME.
