from jury duty, made all sorts of suggestions to lawyers that they wouldn't
want an over-educated troublemaker like me on their juries, but because I
won't lie and say I couldn't be fairminded, I always find my way onto one. My
best hope is that it is a civil suit, since they always settle at the last
moment.
Power concedes nothing without a demand.
It never has, and it never will.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress.
Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet deprecate agitation are men who
want crops without plowing the ground. They want rain without thunder and
lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its waters.
