Be sure and be wrong. I have no problem with "butchery" in re: the IDF. I'm more inclined to reply to what you said. The difference between ethnic cleansing and planned genocide is not what I would call a "fine distinction."
I find striking the contrast between the extent to which our views on present Zionist policy are in concert, on one side, and the sensitivity of you and others to my objections to essentially hysterical allusions of one sort or another. It's as if you demand an emotionalist form of opposition to Israel, one which, as others have noted, leads one astray from marxism, leftist avowals notwithstanding.
My explanatory hypothesis on this is that such people really oppose a two-state solution, and the only plausible way to advance this untenable position is to take exception to any qualification or assertion that detracts from blind hatred of the Jewish state. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
