>Friedman has actually had reasonably decent politics around the Palestinians,
>ultimately choosing Israel security over Palestinian rights if the choice was
>made (Alterman's note), but also hard-headed enough to recognize that Israel
>will never be secure until it makes real peace with the Palestinians.

reasonable for a racist..... sure he doesn't say any thing about giving "ahmed a seat on the bus"....... anymore. but that has more to do with toning down his rabidness to increase the fees he gets for his lectures...... thank his wife, she's the one editing out much of his insanity these days. when he says the settlers are crazy think why is he saying that takeing into account everything he's said about the conflict. is he saying they are crazy for makeing themselves tagets of a bunch of crazy arabs? or are they crazy for the propagating of a brutal occupation?

the guys a lunatic...he thinks globalization atopped suharto and presents an example of empowerment the fact that a bunch of former army generals working for CNN as military analyst squashed a story about the use of poison gas by the u.s in vietnam. as if CNN would publish that story anyway.

he thinks the saudi plan for a palestinian state in return for normal relations was his idea....he just happened to be having lunch with the saudis and one of the saudi diplomats said hey i have this plan and friedman says i have the same plan like it was new. it's ofcourse the same plan Fahd had in like 1981 .............it's completely ridiculous. what a mover and a shaker he is!!!
