Patrick, thanks for forwarding this news item. The struggle continues
between government-led and/or mass-based change in South Africa -- and
privatization is a key issue here. Struggles are usually good things in
general although I think it is slightly unfair to compare this particular
struggle to apartheid oppression. The broader issue of this struggle,
however, which has implications for the world is which group will "lead"
the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg this
summer. See the article below and notice the position of "community and
