What to make of this? Tax burdens

Tax share is not the same as tax burden. Burden to honest people means tax liability divided by income. To assorted fakers like the Tax Foundation it is tax liability divided by total tax revenue.

It is true that the individual income tax is increasingly concentrated -- in terms of tax *share* -- on higher income groups. At the same time, their share of income is going up too.

I haven't bothered checking all the figures. You can get honest numbers from CTJ, the Joint Committee on Taxation of the Congress, or under Democratic presidents, from the Treasury Dept.
