Tim, I haven't seen the book yet but I'm sure Korea is touted as a example of East Asian global success with its export oriented development policies. Pakistan and Sri Lanka both had higher per capita GDPs than Korea in the 1950s, but the countries of South Asia went on to adopt dirigiste development policies that included import-substitution, interventionist policies in markets (labor and financial), and an excessive use of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) which some say has plagued their economic development. Of course there are so many other factors. What sort of errors did you find? Anyway, I've heard the episodes are great for undergraduate teaching -- we're using them in several different departments.

Best, Diane
