Political Research Associates is pleased to announce that the second printing of Right-Wing Populism in America: Too Close for Comfort by Chip Berlet and Matthew N. Lyons (NY: Guilford, 2000) is now available. This printing includes several corrections and updates and a new brief discussion of Shays' Rebellion and the Whiskey Rebellion as populist revolts that were engaged in real power struggles and not examples of repressive right-wing populist movements.

The book was selected as one of twelve books to receive the 2001 Myers Outstanding Book Award presented by the Gustavus Myers Center for the Study of Bigotry and Human Rights in North America. The award praised Right-Wing Populism in America as a "brilliant and comprehensive examination of the complexities of reactionary organizing in the United States."
