-It´s worthy to note the good performance of Maoist China -two times the India growth rates for the same period, -despite the Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution, and -the first good results in the anterior 150 years. Coupled -with the good performance in things like overall mortality, -life expectancy and infant mortality it would be difficult -to consider Mao´s China as a big failure. In fact Mao´s -policies may have prepared the country for the post 1976 -boom.
