sweeney is speaking monday at the pro-israel rally with netanyahu

Protectionism is one thing, a pro-Israel rally is another.  The 
former is defensible (if it comes without xenophobia), but the latter 
isn't (especially now), in that the latter has nothing to do with 
defending union jobs in America.

BTW, I don't recall hearing much about the US-Israel Free Trade Area 
Agreement (which became effective September 1, 1985) from American 
unionists in favor of protectionism.
