questions on privatization

Question for the list:
I'm writing a paper for a labor group on World Bank-funded privatization
projects and their impact on workers, with case studies of certain countries
detailing how workers were laid off, what kinds of severance packages they
received, whether trade unions were consulted, what role the WB may have
played, etc. Can anybody out there suggest a privatization case in Eastern
Europe to highlight? In my research on EE I've found scads of material about
privatization but very little on the impact on workers. In contrast there is
lots of worker-related info on Bolivia, Brazil, Mexico, Philippines,
Pakistan and other countries I'm focusing on.
Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

I would look at the privatization of the state electricity network in
Moldova. It was sold to a spanish company, which then began using it to
export electricity. As a result, Moldova has frequent mass blackouts.
