Reports of Bribe-Taking at Russian Universities Have Increased, Authorities Say By BRYON MACWILLIAMS

Moscow

Reported instances of bribery and corruption increased dramatically last year on campuses throughout Russia, according to law-enforcement officials. ------------------ BTW this applies mostly to departments teaching subjects that lead to high-paying careers and so are saturated with students -- business, finance, linguistics, computer science, economics. I think fields like philosophy, mathematics, physics and so forth are relatively corruption-free.
