Noone does. I think it was Margaret Quan speaking about union organizers who said, organizers have to have the mind of a scholar, the heart of a child, and the hide of a rhinoceros. Absolutely true -- those are the contradictions you run into when you face the Beast, a.k.a. the total system. The reality is, folks should do what they can, and not feel guilty about setting limits. There's a time to protest, but it's equally important to write, and most of all to *think*. Information socialism has to be built neuron by neuron, negating the monstrosity of global capitalism, that planetary cancer threatening to devour us all, data-cell by data-cell.
