Currently reading a newish book, "Perceptions of Palestine, " by Kathleen Christison, U.C. Press, 1999, pb. 2000, updated edition with a new afterword, which reviews the U.S. administrations from Wilson to Clinton vis. a vis. the Palestinians. Very good read, extensively documented. Refers to Said's, Orientalism, of coarse, but, thank gawd, is light on the pomo jargon.Mostly solid history with lotsa insider dope.
