Big insurer Aetna (AET) fared better as a restructuring plan ended a year of operating losses. The first-quarter report blew away Wall Street's consensus forecast for three cents a share with pro-forma earnings of 44 cents a share, as premiums finally caught up with rising health-care costs. The stock surged 12%.
