I have to leave Russia in a couple of months to renew my visa (for some reason, the Russian government requires you to leave the territory of the country to do this). The choices I'm considering are Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova. I'll take a brief look around Chisinau if I opt for choice #3 and let you know my impressions. (And also if I go to Minsk -- Belarus has a Soviet-style command economy, which eould be really interesting to see. People tell me going to Belarus is like going back to the Brezhnev era.)
