Actually, isn't this a lasting legacy of the original chicken war from 1962? Which never got resolved? So 40 years later, Europe still has high chicken tariffs, and the US still has 25% "temporary, retalitory" tariffs on small trucks and vans that were originally meant to only hurt Volkswagen?
