We seek a dedicated teacher of writing who achieves a positive rapport with students and co-workers, and whose secondary interests include literature. The primary classroom load will be composition, with one literature or similar course possible per semester. The course load includes five courses per semester. Duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following: classroom preparation and instruction, preparation of class rosters, student advising, maintaining student files, attending faculty/senate meetings, performing certain community and public service in accordance with the University's Policies and Procedures manual.
Qualifications: An earned doctorate or terminal degree within the discipline specialization. This position requires an instructor committed to excellence in teaching and a desire to work in a progressively changing, student-oriented environment. Appointment will be at Assistant/Associate Professor rank, depending upon teaching experience.
