Women ready to break glass ceiling in China politics

BEIJING: Ask about politically powerful women in China and the average person may recall the infamous empress dowager Cixi, who helped fell the crumbling Qing Dynasty from within by squandering money and shunning the West.
Analysts say it's a reality that not many women have held positions of power in China. They also say it reflects the misogyny that permeates Chinese society and pins a bad image on powerful women, deserved or not.
