Why? The Kiwanis march. New Yorkers march. Leftists march. Everyone marches to support things. That's what a "walk in the same direction to support" something is called. But nobody "moves together" to support things. At least not in English. Marching together, marching to the same beat, are normal English phrases denoting unity. But moving together means nothing in English. (Although moving in together does :o)
