One can't do everything at once. And the problem with "the things that people can see every day" is that they _change_ everyday too. And today's discussion is "relevant" ONLY if it is relevant to conditions that won't come into existence for months or even years. The "Present" (even what is sometimes called the "virtual present") is ALWAYS ancient history by the time one focuses on it. If you want to focus on the "present" you must in fact ignore the "present" and focus on the future.
