Koreas strike landmark deal to jointly develop mines

North and South Korea have agreed a landmark project to jointly develop a graphite mine in the North, paving the way for major economic cooperation programmes, authorities in Seoul said.
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy said on Wednesday that the agreement was reached in March between the South's state-run Korea Resource Corporation and the North's Samcholli Company.
