Just because neo-classcal econ is wrong does not mean that it is manifestly wrong to policymakers (putting aside the fact that tmost are incapable of doing anything more than parroting propositions of dogma). More importantly, because it is cloaked in math and jargon, it is immune to examination by the masses. So, yes, you must refute neo-classical econ.
