Thai police chief backs plan to legalise casinos

BANGKOK: Thailand's national police chief threw his stakes on Tuesday behind a long-standing proposal to legalise casinos as a way of attracting tourists and gaining revenue from both foreigners and the Thais who now travel abroad to gamble.
"I strongly support the legalisation of casinos because we can save billions of baht that flow from the country every year," national police chief Gen. Sant Sarutanond told reporters
