   Only extended piece I've read by O'Rourke was, "Ship of Fools, " 
in Harpers in 1982 on, "The Nation, " "Peace Cruise, " down the 
Russian Volga. That was funny. Full of the naive effusions mocked at 
great length and detail by neo-con, Paul Hollander in, "Political 
Pilgrims:Western Intellectuals in Search of the Good Society, " 4th. 
ed. Transaction Books, 1999.
