I'm not much for adoration (as I believe most on the list would agree). But
I think Gorbachev was without question a great leader. I give him full
credit for ending the lunacy of the cold war. It's a pity that the USA
squandered the opportunities that the end of the cold war presented by
indulging in history's greatest orgy of capitalist excess and reviving
unabashed imperialism.
