Well this does seem to lead to a trivialization of the meanings of power. I do think there are zones within social relations where an absence of power, in the sense of power-over, exists. This issue is how to enlarge those social spaces/communications in order to displace the desire on the part of groups to maintain their desire for power-over as constitutive of their identities.
