No he didn't! Counterpunch was started by Ken Silverstein, and Alex C only joined him several years later. Ace got a lot of the credit for Ken's work, which was deeply unfair. Ken washed his hands of CP a few years ago, and it's been the Alex and Jeff show ever since. Cockburn & St Clair actually had the balls to slip an ad for CP into their Gore book that said "we started Counterpunch...," which is completely untrue.
