During the sixties, the air was electric with the sense that a great social transformation was possible and indeed at hand. Step one, stop the war! Step two, socialism! Yes, the Aquarians had a rendezvous with history to end all rendezvous! And what happened? Forty years later we're living in a completely militarized society that's more plutocratic than anything seen since the Gilded Age. Boomers bear heavy responsiblity for this fiasco.
