Oh come on Carrol, I've just finished Empire and whether
or not you think its useful its clearly an attempt to
outline an alternative DESPITE that fact that
"Nationalism is a form that is no longer functional.
And sovereignty is a dangerous illusion."

You can disagree with the quote OR disagree with
his alternative (which I do) but its a bit crass
to deny the whole point of the book!
