apologies doug - only when i received my message did i notice that a
smiley was explicitly required there!
to minimize my contribution to the lowering s/n ratio, i am adding an
unrelated question to this message:
could some kind soul(s) provide me a reference to a text or fairly
detailed material that covers the thinking/reasoning of the framers of
the US constitution w.r.t copyrights/patents (prof. perelman's book on
this stuff is not out yet, i presume?). as a thanks, i will offer a nice
home-cooked indian meal if you, the kind soul(s), can find your way to
jersey!
