20x the capability

I know I'm way over my limit, but I'm procrastinating from doing something else and most of my comments have been brief or at least to the point. Anyway, had to take this one on:

>The goal is to develop a high-tech soldier with >20 times the capability of
today's warrior and >to have that soldier commissioned by about >2010. With advanced
>technologies, the Army plans to create an >overmatch and greatly minimize
danger to its >soldiers.

The last time they did this they found that it was impossible to carry all the equipment. This led to a discussion of what type of soldier, physically speaking, they should have. It turned out all the junk hung well on the guys built like football players, but these guys dropped from heat stroke and exhaustion far faster than the average soldier. Like one Brit solider said at a NATO exercise: 'You Yanks carry too much stuff and how in the fuck could you learn to use it all anyway?"
