Wow, this was a nice piece of headhunting for Bush's Carlyle Group.

--------------------------------------------- World Bank treasurer to join Carlyle Group

The Carlyle Group, a D.C.-based private equity firm with a golden Rolodex, has lured the treasurer and chief investment officer of the World Bank to the firm as a managing director and partner.

Afsaneh Masheyekhi Beschloss, who will join the firm next month, will direct the newly formed Carlyle Asset Management Group, co-based in D.C. and New York. Beschloss is responsible for managing $65 billion in assets at the World Bank. --------------------------------

I wonder if O'Neill wants him to give away Carlyle Group assets, too?
