Which is why Negri puts forward the slogan "Global citizenship". It is a demand that would be, I think, impossible for the nation-state to adapt to. The nation-state would collapse if such an idea were realized.
Of course this leaves the gargantuan question of what type of society would arise upon the ashes of that collapse. Difficult and daunting...for sure!
