Please forward:
Rabih Haddad's bond hearing appeal is scheduled to be on Thursday, January 10, 2002 at 3:30pm, in Detroit, at the same exact building as last time.
The court will hear an appeal, again requesting Pastor Haddad's release on bond. As the INS claims to be detaining Rabih without bond because he is a "threat to the community", a strong show of community support for Rabih's release would be helpful.
As more evidence of Rabih's strong support in the Ann Arbor community, you can remind any reporter you see about the Ann Arbor City Council's overwhelming approval (last night!) of a resolution asking for due process rights for Rabih and everyone else in his position. The media coverage of that City Council resolution can be found on the Web:

Again, Rabih Haddad's January 10, 2002 appeals hearing will be conducted at the same place:
Immigration Court 1155 Brewery Park Blvd. Detroit, MI 48207
(on the corner of Russell and Gratiot, 4th floor)
Below are directions to the court, much more clear than the www.mapquest.com directions:
* I-94 East to Southound Lodge * Take Lodge (Route 10) to exit 215 * Drive in the middle lane for ~ 2.5 miles * The Lodge will end and become E. Jefferson * Turn left on Rivard * Go 0.5 miles to Antietam Ave. and make a left * Go 0.1 miles to Gratiot and make a right
The Brewery Park building will be on your left. It is a red brick building with green trim. You will need to enter he gate and get a pass. The court is on the 4th floor. Please dress warmly in case we are again excluded from the hearing.
If for any reason you get lost, the parking lot guard post phone number is: 313-259-8526.
