I get interesting (until the Bibliotry kicks in!) e-mails from a website called antipas that are very critical of Christian Right apolegetics for kapializm. If google doesn't point y'all to it, contact me offlist.

I wonder if a group called "Christians for Socialism, " is still around? Two good reviews of Christian Socialism both from Orbis, "Christian Socialism, " by John Cort and, "Christians in the Latin American Revolutions, " by Phillip Berryman. And, the late, lamented, left Christian, Penny Lernoux volume for Penguin Books on Death Squads, Yanqui Imperialismo and the Church, from the mid-80's, "Cry of The People."

One group that has intrigued me, the Wycliffe Bible Translators, are reputed to be CIA assets. David Stoll, who got into so much trouble for questioning Rigoberta Menchu, has a Zed Press book, "Fishers of Men, " on them. The Menchu contro is covered in an anthology published by Stanford Univ. Press, taken from a special issue of latin American Perspectives, an academic left periodical...that LNP3 did not know of until this running dog told him. Michael Pugliese
