We're getting closer to that result. Yesterday the Post chronicle of the
Bushies experience on 9/11-13 ended with an anecdote about the desire
of the Congress to reconvene on 9/12 as a show of defiance. Members
had been sequestered at assorted locations in the area and would need
transport to get back to the Hill. The White House forbid any session
taking place. Senator Nickles, a conservative Repub, said
to Cheney that the Congress was a co-equal branch of government.
Cheney replied, "we control the helicopters."
