I live in Arlington, VA. I've been on the road through the Midwest too.

Around Washington, you see a few flag decals on cars, but most of them have nothing. Most of the houses around here have no flags up.

There are probably pockets of flag-waving, but I still think that survey is full of shit. People are telling that pollster what they think they should be saying.
