I have seen many Puerto Rican flags being flown, or shown, alone here in NJ. I am Puerto Rican, however, I can't find the flag that most people fly from their rear view mirror. Very few of the Puerto Rican flag I have seen are accompanied by the american flag. BTW there was a major controversy in Puerto Rico when the leader of the pro-statehood party broke into the office of one of the department heads on the Govt. of Puerto Rico to place an american flag next to the Puerto Rican flag in the office. He seems to have run over and assaulted some people while doing this. He was arrested, but later let go with a $100 fine. The law in Puerto Rico is that the american flage must always fly nest to the Puerto Rican one.
