Russia and booze

Sorry about the endless series of short snips (I'm doing this at work between jobs, so I forget stuff).

In the villages in Russia, where living standards are very very low, practically every male is an alcoholic. I lived in a village for a while. Vodka is the only light in their lives.

Russia also has a real problem with Afghan heroin, which is cheaper than pot. I see people nodding off on the metro all the time, invariably young men.
