The URPE Summer Conference takes place at a camp in Connecticut, within reasonable driving distance of Boston and New York City. The relaxed environment provides a good setting for informal discussions and the social interaction that are important to the development of a progressive movement. The camp provides opportunities for swimming, boating, tennis, basketball, soccer and hiking. Children are welcome and full child care is provided at no additional charge for people who register by August 1. The standard rate for the entire conference, including food and lodging (in cabins) is $200. Low-income individuals can select a subsidized rate of $140. There is also a "very-low-income" rate of $120.
