female promiscuity and evolution

there's quite a bit of talk that in the animal world the only male who gets 
to mate is the dominant, alpha male.    that's not quite true.   as in the 
human species, the ladies still sneak out for a quickie with that cute 
looking hunk ....    the alphas have to sleep sometime.
