Well then, should we just sit around and do nothing? But seriously, there's the Chicago-based Not In My Name (www.nimn.org). They link to this good resources site: http://www.junity.org/resources/bibliomain.html They seem to be going against the grain, at least here in Illinois. The legislature recently passed a law making it okay for the state to invest in foreign countries' bonds as long as those countries have never defaulted on their debts. They did this so they could support Israel. I forget how much they're investing.

My anectdotal evidence is that for people who don't really pay attention to the Middle East or know the history, September 11th pushed them to side with Israel, even if they still admit to being fairly uninformed. (I bet this played a part in the move to invest some of our state tax money in Israel.) So Al Qaeda screwed the Palestinians and helped the Zionists and perhaps screwed the average Israeli citizen.
