Millions in danger of starvation, UN says May 31, 2002 BY MILDRED MULENGA ASSOCIATED PRESS LUSAKA, Zambia -- With his people growing ever more desperate, Zambia's president has become the latest southern African leader to declare a national disaster because of a regional food shortage.
