If possible, this is even worse than it appears. Kunduz is where (according to a Seymour Hersh article in the New Yorker some months ago), ISI was given 24 hours to get its officers out before the final assault. ISI took advantage of the window to airlift out the main Taliban and al-Qaeda cadre in Kunduz as well. So the poor fucks who suffocated in our sealed containers were the ones who were not important enought for ISI to rescue.
