actually, i think it's more cynicism than "postmodern relativism" (i've never understood exactly what that is, anyway, speaking of straw men)--the flip side of wojtek's "a plague on both your houses" view, which he attributes to misanthropy. ;-)

it's either cynicism or laziness, imo, and in the spirit of giving people the benefit of the doubt, i'll imagine the former rather than the latter . . .
