Fake jobs in the internet economy, mostly paid for by shareholder dollars
that have since gone up in smoke. The only thing left is lots of incredibly
cheap assets, like fiber optic networks, that companies with cash can pick
up, sans attached debt, for almost nothing. So when a WorldCom goes
bankrupt it's like Christmas for say, a BellSouth.
